Abstract: Disclosed in the present invention is a novel technology for using lifting/lowering cylindrical boxes for underwater cultivation of terrestrial insects. For the cultivation of terrestrial insects in water areas (rivers, lakes, seas and oceans), lifting/lowering cylindrical boxes are used as underwater carriers, mixed feed is input by means of a centralized piping to cultivate the terrestrial insects, and the temperature, humidity, and oxygen content in the cultivation cylindrical boxes are monitored and regulated by means of the centralized piping. The present invention breaks through the traditional mindset that the cultivation of terrestrial insects can only be conducted on land, pioneering a new approach to cultivating terrestrial insects in water; the development of cultivation in water areas saves land resources; water circulation is utilized to improve insect cultivation conditions; the use of a fully enclosed cylindrical box structure for cultivating light-sensitive insects accelerates their growth, development and reproduction; the use of a mixture of wet waste and kitchen waste achieves low-cost insect cultivation; insect cultivation is carried out within a controllable and safe area; the goal of large-scale insect cultivation is achieved, and the competition from animal pets for animal-based protein food needed by humans is reduced, benefiting humanity.
