ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The patent disclosure covers Novel System, Design and Method of loT Tracker: An loT-Enabled Smart Security System for Real-Time Theft Prevention in Cargo Trucks. Truck-based transport of high-value goods carries an ongoing risk of theft and unauthorized access while cargo is in transit, and this risk is hard to eliminate with conventional methods. loT Tracker was built to close that gap — it is an loT-enabled smart security system aimed at real- time monitoring and theft prevention for cargo trucks. At its core is an ESP32 DevKitC (WROOM-32D) microcontroller, which manages Wi-Fi and loT connectivity and ties every connected component together. A Neo-6M GPS module keeps track of the truck's position around the clock, and a PIR sensor picks up unauthorized human presence by sensing the thermal infrared radiation given off by the human body, acting as the first checkpoint for suspicious activity near the vehicle. An ultrasonic sensor adds a second layer, measuring how close nearby objects or people are and raising an alert once something gets too close. Mounting the PIR and ultrasonic sensors at separate points on the truck cuts the number of false alarms and makes intrusion detection noticeably more accurate. A GSM module links the ESP32, GPS module, and sensors over the network so they can talk to each other and push out alerts. The moment the PIR and ultrasonic sensors' pick up motion near the truck, an alert goes straight to the driver's phone through the GSM module. Two dashcams sit on the truck — one on the roof, one near the back door — and feed a display inside the driver's cabin that switches on its own to these live views whenever an alert fires, so the driver can check with their own eyes whether anyone is actually there. An emergency panic button rounds out the design: press it, and the nearest police station gets notified at once, along with the truck's live GPS location, while the truck's owning authority is alerted in parallel. The system is meant to keep working reliably even at highway speed, with sensor and GPS data available for the police and truck authority to watch at all times. Combining fast alert delivery with quick incident verification, loT Tracker lowers theft risk, shortens response time, and gives cargo operators one integrated, intelligent security solution for high-value shipments.
