Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a portable ultraviolet (UV) light~based sterilization and storage device for dental instruments, including air-rotor handpieces, ultrasonic scalers, burs, and scaler tips. The device comprises a compact enclosed chamber with a dedicated holder system configured to securely position multiple instruments for uniform exposure. A plurality of ultraviolet light sources is arranged within the chamber to provide effective irradiation and microbial decontamination. The enclosure is provided with a hinged covering lid designed to prevent leakage of UV radiation during operation, ensuring user safety. The device further includes a user-activated control mechanism and a USE-powered interface, enabling convenient and portable operation. The invention allows simultaneous sterilization and organized storage of dental instruments, thereby reducing cross-contamination and improving infection control practices. Its compact design and ease of use make it suitable for chairside and mobile dental applications.
