Abstract: ABSTRACT “Novel peptide aptamer activated magnetic nanoparticles for spore enrichment and detection” The present invention provides novel peptide aptamer activated magnetic nanoparticles and the method of preparation thereof, for Bacillus anthracis spore enrichment and detection. It relates to a novel peptide aptamer and a method of preparation of the said novel peptide aptamer having specific binding with Bacillus spp. spore protein. Further, the present invention relates to method of spore enrichment by decorating magnetic nanoparticles with a novel peptide aptamer. The invention also relates to a composition of peptide aptameractivated magnetic nanoparticle. The said invention aims at the separation, capture and/or the detection of bacterial spores from a sample.
