Abstract: This novel model presents an AI-powered smart classroom system that captures live lecture audio via an ESP32 microcontroller equipped with an INMP441 microphone module, streams the audio over Wi-Fi to a Fast API backend, transcribes it using OpenAI Whisper, corrects grammar with a Hugging Face Transformer model, summarizes the content using the BART Transformer and stores all results in a MySQL database for display on a web-based frontend. The system currently supports 10 seconds live recordings from the ESP32 hardware and 30 seconds WAV file uploads via the web interface. Future phases of development plan to extend recording duration to 1 hour through the use of a Raspberry Pi for more powerful edge processing.
