Inventors include Dr. M. Saravanan; and M. Keerthana.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: Abstract Novel crystals of 1,4-diazabicyclo [2.2.2] octane-1,4-diium bis(4-methylbenzoate) [1,4-D2MB] were prepared by employing the slow evaporation technique at room temperature. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that these crystals have crystallized in a monoclinic system with a non-centrosymmetric space group C2 in which strong N-H…O hydrogen-bonding relationsbecome stable crystal lattice packing. This interaction extends into all possible directions, resulting in a three-dimensional supramolecular framework. Phase purity and presence of proton transfer material are confirmed by PXRD and FTIR analysis. Based on dielectric analysis, these compounds exhibit high permittivity at low frequency; it arises due to the space/charge division effect. Furthermore, these materials show less dielectric loss at high frequency, suggesting excellent crystalline quality. Second harmonic generation (SHG) experiments showed that SHG crystals exhibit higher phase matching efficiency and lower half wave voltage compared to KDP. The crystal structure determination for 1,4-D2MB crystal was carried out using single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. OLEX2 (Dolomanov et al., 2009), SHELXT2014 (Sheldrick, 2015a), SHELXL2018 (Sheldrick, 2015b), and publCIF (Westrip, 2010) were all used to figure out the crystal structure.
