Abstract: Novel Evacuated Solar Water Heater Tank for Multipurpose Usage A system for distilling contaminated water in addition to solar water heating, solar cooking and drying is provided herein. The system consists of an evacuated tube type solar water heater integrated with a semi-cylindrical water storage tank (10). On a semi- cylindrical tank's flat surface, a container unit (23) for distillation, cooking and drying is placed having multiple sides, a bottom wall, and an entrance. Two clear glass covers (03,17) positioned at various heights along the length of the container's bottom surface further comprising a pitched roof element installed over the top of the container. A distil water collecting trough positioned at the base of the pitched roof element to collect and transport water that has condensed on the pitched roof element and flows down the pitched roof element due to gravity.
