Abstract: NOVEL ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR DETECTION OF PANTOPRAZOLE SODIUM SESQUIHYDRATE IP (EC) AND ITOPRIDE HYDROCHLORIDE (SR) CAPSULE FORMULATIONS A new analytical approach has been devised to efficiently determine Pantoprazole and Itopride Hydrochloride simultaneously in pharmaceutical formulations. The method involves finely crushing pellets containing both substances, accurately measuring a portion of the resulting powder containing 40 mg of Pantoprazole and 150 mg of Itopride Hydrochloride. This powder is dissolved in 50 mL of methanol and then subjected to sonication for 10 minutes. Afterward, the solution is adjusted to a final volume of 100 mL with methanol. Subsequently, a further dilution is carried out by taking 2 mL of this solution and diluting it to 25 mL with the mobile phase. The resulting solutions undergo column chromatography analysis. Both the test solution and a standard solution are injected into the chromatographic system, and the results are determined by comparing the peak areas. This method presents a straightforward, precise, and accurate means of assessing Pantoprazole and Itopride Hydrochloride levels in capsule formulations.
