MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611093450 A) filed by Chitkara University on August 01, 2026, for Non-Propellant Foam Composition Of Fluconazole For Topical Antifungal Therapy And Process For Preparation Thereof.

Abstract: ABSTRACT NON-PROPELLANT FOAM COMPOSITION OF FLUCONAZOLE FOR TOPICAL ANTIFUNGAL THERAPY AND PROCESS FOR PREPARATION THEREOF The present invention relates to a non-propellant, foam-based topical composition of Fluconazole for the treatment of superficial fungal infections, and to a process for its preparation. The composition generates a stable, light-weight, non-greasy foam upon actuation, without the use of aerosol propellants, and provides enhanced skin retention, penetration and antifungal efficacy with improved patient compliance.
