MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641106124 A) filed by Ifet College Of Engineering on September 03, 2026, for Non Invasive Electroencephalographic Signal Based Assistive Communication System With Emotional State Analysis.

Inventors include Mrs. P. Manjubala; Mrs. S. Arunakumari; Arun R; Sunildharan M; and Nandhagopal H.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a non-invasive electroencephalographic signal-based assistive communication system (100) comprising an electroencephalographic signal acquisition assembly (102), physiological signal sensing assembly (104), signal processing and control unit (106), neural signal preprocessing unit (108), neural- state classification unit (110), textual communication generation unit (112), emotional-state analysis unit (114), text-to-speech output unit (116), and visual display unit (118). The preprocessing unit (108) reduces artifacts in acquired electroencephalographic signals, and the classification unit (110) extracts signal amplitude, temporal characteristics, and frequency components to classify predefined neural states. The textual communication generation unit (112) generates corresponding textual information. The emotional-state analysis unit (114) determines an emotional state using electroencephalographic and physiological signals. The generated information is displayed through the visual display unit (118) and converted into audible communication through the text-to-speech output unit (116), thereby providing integrated assistive communication.
