MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641069990 A) filed by Vinayaka Mission'S Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College; and Vinayaka Mission'S Research Foundation Deemed To Be University on June 04, 2026, for Nidan Live: Autonomous Medical Triage, Edge Native Multimodal Diagnostics And Geospatial Resource Allocation.

Inventors include Nithya Muthu; and Aruldass Ramalingam.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: Metropolitan healthcare systems often face serious overcrowding in emergency departments, which causes delays in manual triage, inefficient use of resources, and the loss of the "Golden Hour" for trauma patients. To tackle this ma,jor problem, we introduce Nidan- Live, a decentralized, AI-based platform for medical triage and hospital routing. The system is built on an ''Edge-First" architecture that uses contactless Remote Photo plethy-smography (rPPG) through computer vision to quickly gather cardiovascular data like heart rate and oxygen levels without needing physical sensors. For more detailed diagnosis, a local Agentic Vision AI pipeline examines physical i~uries and various medical scans to gather important clinical information. These biological and imaging data are then processed by a LangGraph-driven multi-agent coordination framework.- This part simulates a team of medical experts, such as cardiologists, neurologists, and pulmonologists, to classify the patient's condition based on the global Manchester Triage System (MTS), which has five priority levels. To ensure ongoing care, a Pinecone-based Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) database keeps a detailed "Medical Memory" for quick access to the patient's history. It assesses real-time hospital traffic and wait times to critical patients through a centralized Hospital Command Dashboard. By combining contactless physiological monitoring with AI- driven decisionmaking, Nidan-Live cuts down manual triage time, reduces overcrowding at tertiary care centers, and speeds up life- saving treatments.
