The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to nickel-modified Cr-Mo-Nb-Ti-Ta-Zr refractory high-entropy alloy materials having improved hardness and dry sliding wear resistance. The alloy comprises chromium, molybdenum, niobium, titanium, tantalum, zirconium and nickel in nominal atomic composition Cr20Mo10Nb20Ti20Ta10Zr20-xNix, wherein nickel partially replaces zirconium and x is selected from 5, 10, 15 and 20. A preferred alloy has nominal composition Cr20Mo10Nb20Ti20Ta10Zr5Ni15. The preferred alloy exhibits hardness of about 705 HV and a lower specific wear rate than the nickel-free comparative alloy. The improved wear behaviour is associated with solid-solution strengthening, lattice distortion, improved phase stability, enhanced load-bearing capacity and formation of compact protective tribo-oxide layers during dry sliding. The alloy material is suitable for high-temperature wear-resistant airborne parts, turbine engine blades and other severe sliding, high-load, high- speed and elevated-temperature engineering components.
