MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611056750 A) filed by Sharda University on May 04, 2026, for Nickel Ferrite Nanoparticle Synthesis Apparatus.

Inventors include Tehreen Sherwani; Dr. Mohit Sahni; Munendra Singh; and Dr. Babita Tripathi.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for synthesis of nickel ferrite nanoparticles comprising an extraction vessel configured to obtain a phytochemical-containing floral extract from Crocus sativus flower petals, a precursor containment chamber for an aqueous nickel– iron precursor solution, and a reaction chamber arranged to receive the extract and precursor solution in direct contact. The apparatus further includes a solid–liquid separation unit, a washing unit, and a drying chamber arranged to recover solid nickel ferrite nanoparticles having surface-associated phytochemical species. The apparatus supports integrated material handling across extraction, reaction, separation, washing, and drying stages while reducing processing complexity and limiting disruptive transfers.
