MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621096596 A) filed by Dharmendra Kumar Pathak on August 10, 2026, for New Mutual Interface Smart Interface Exam Technology (nmi-Siet).

Inventor includes Dharmendra Kumar Pathak.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A New Mutual Interface Smart Interface Exam Technology (NMI-SIET) is disclosed, comprising an integrated manual and computer-based examination management system configured to conduct large-scale examinations through a multi-stage, randomized, and auditable allocation process. The system employs a Five- Box sequential allocation mechanism through which a queue number, examination district, examination centre, examination section, examination room, examination seat, and final examination roll number are progressively and independently assigned to each examinee at defined time intervals preceding the examination, thereby preventing advance prediction of seating or roll number outcomes. A Special Examination Table, designated the New Mutual Interface Smart Isolation Examination Table (NMI-SIET Table), provides a standardised, visually isolated seating unit incorporating a one-way information display panel showing the examinee's self roll number and an examination-competitor roll number for a paired candidate located at a mutually mapped seat. A Mutual Interface Answer Verification module enables a structured, supervised first-level review of an assigned competitor's Answer Booklet by a paired examinee, followed by independent verification and final evaluation performed by appointed Teachers and Examination Monitoring Officers. A Secure Roll Number Distribution Device, implemented as a barcode-authenticated, CCTV- monitored steel roll number box with an automated mixing chamber and timed single-envelope dispensing mouth, together with a centralised, encrypted relational database architecture recording candidate, examination, centre, computer allocation, question bank, answer, attendance, invigilator, result, certificate, and security-audit records, collectively provide a secure, transparent, tamper-resistant, and merit-based examination management technology suitable for competitive, government, university, recruitment, and entrance examinations conducted in either manual, computer-based, or hybrid format. ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION NEW MUTUAL INTERFACE SMART INTERFACE EXAM TECHNOLOGY (NMI-SIET) A New Mutual Interface Smart Interface Exam Technology (NMI-SIET) is disclosed, comprising a Five-Box Sequential Roll Number and Seat Allocation Module that time-releases a queue number, examination district, examination centre, examination section, examination room and seat, and final roll number at successive defined intervals before an examination; a New Mutual Interface Smart Isolation Examination Table providing physical isolation and a one-way display of self and mutually paired examination-competitor roll numbers; a Mutual Interface Answer Verification Module providing a supervised first-tier mutual review followed by independent second-tier evaluation by appointed Teachers and Examination Monitoring Officers; a Secure Roll Number Distribution Device with barcode authentication, CCTV monitoring, automated mixing, and time-limited dispensing; and a Centralised Examination Database Module interlinking candidate, examination, centre, question bank, answer, attendance, invigilator, result, certificate, and audit records under AES-256 encryption and role-based access control. The invention is deployable as a manual, computer-based, or hybrid examination management system, and materially improves examination security, transparency, fairness, and administrative efficiency for competitive, government, university, recruitment, and entrance examinations.
