MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611104896 A) filed by Panipat Institute Of Engineering And Technology Piet on August 31, 2026, for Neuromorphic Threat Detection System With Hardware-Enforced Photonic Network Isolation.
Inventors include Mr. Anurag Vashist; and Mr. Piyush Babele.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a neuromorphic threat detection system with hardware-enforced photonic network isolation. A passive photonic observation interface obtains network-traffic information and an event-to-spike encoder converts selected temporal network characteristics into spike events. A neuromorphic processing unit processes temporal relationships among the spike events and generates a threat output indicative of anomalous network behaviour. The threat output is supplied through a hardware control path separated from the monitored network to a secure isolation controller. Upon satisfaction of an isolation condition, the controller actuates a photonic isolation assembly to physically interrupt, restrict, block, or redirect an optical communication path associated with an affected port, wavelength, device, channel, or network segment. A hardware latch may maintain isolation independently of network software. Fail-closed operation, multi-stage containment, secure event logging, adaptive behavioural baselines, and trusted recovery verification may further be provided, thereby enabling low-latency threat detection and hardware-enforced network containment.
