MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611087555 A) filed by Manipal University Jaipur on July 17, 2026, for Neuromorphic Edge-Ai Framework For Self-Healing Smart Agriculture With Quantum-Inspired Optimization.
Inventor includes Satpal Singh Kushwaha.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a neuromorphic edge artificial intelligence framework for self-healing smart agriculture with quantum-inspired optimization, and more particularly to an integrated precision agriculture system capable of autonomous crop monitoring and decision-making under low-power and intermittent-connectivity environments. The system comprises a plurality of field sensor nodes equipped with multimodal sensing modules including hyperspectral imaging sensors, micro- LiDAR sensors, soil dielectric impedance probes, volatile organic compound sensors, and atmospheric sensors for acquiring plant and environmental data. The acquired data is converted into spike-encoded representations and processed using a spiking neural network deployed on a neuromorphic processing unit to generate plant-level diagnostic information including water stress, nutrient deficiency, disease probability, pest pressure, and growth stage indicators.
