Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a network intrusion detection system (100) for detecting and mitigating network intrusions in a cloud environment that comprises one or more local agent (102) deployed across cloud or edge nodes, configured to continuously collect network telemetry, which includes data such as network traffic flows, packet metadata, connection logs, system (100) calls, and resource usage patterns, a communication network (104) connected to the system (100), configured to transmit data between system (100) components, a processing unit (108) operatively coupled to the system (100), the processing unit (108) configured to execute instructions for input data and generating intrusion detection and mitigation outputs. The processing unit (108) comprises a cross- provider federated learning coordinator (110) (CPFLC), a trust scoring module (112), an aggregation module (114), a workload- predictive orchestration module (116), a self-healing mitigation engine (118), and an output module (120).
