Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to selection of a target network function for an event subscription or exposure. In an aspect, the first network device transmits, to a second network device, a first request message for selecting a network function for an event subscription. The first request message comprises event information to be subscribed. The first network device receives, from the second network device, a first response message comprising an identity of a selected network function among a plurality of network functions. In this way, a specific network function can be allocated for the first network device which request an event subscription, based on the event to be subscribed, thereby improving performance of communication networks.
