Abstract: ABSTRACT “Network configuration and transparent procedure for Inter-gNB carrier aggregation (CA) and multi-transmission reception point (MTRP)”” The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a network configuration and transparent procedure for Inter-gNB Carrier Aggregation (CA) and Multi Transmission Reception Point (MTRP). The method includes receiving, by a first network apparatus (500), a measurement report from a UE (600) containing measurements of a candidate cell to be added to either inter-network CA or MTRP, where the candidate cell is associated with a second network apparatus (505). The first network apparatus (500) generates a CA or TRP addition request message based on the measurement report. The method further includes sending, by the first network apparatus (500), the CA or TRP addition request message to the second network apparatus (505) using an Xn interface, and receiving, by the first network apparatus (500), a CA or TRP addition request acknowledgment message from the second network apparatus (505).
