Abstract: A display device (102) comprises a light-emitting unit (104) having red light sources, green light sources and blue light sources that are employed to respectively emit red light, green light and blue light of certain wavelengths. A semi-reflective surface (130) of an optical combiner (124) has a multi-band reflective coating that is configured to selectively reflect the red light, the green light and the blue light of these certain wavelengths. An image is displayed via the display device for producing a synthetic light field (132). The optical combiner is employed to selectively reflect the synthetic light field towards eyes of user(s), whilst optically combining a real-world light field (126) with the synthetic light field.
