Abstract: ABSTRACT NANOSTRUCTURED NICKEL-COBALT OXIDE ELECTROCATALYST FOR ELECTROLYZER SYSTEMS AND METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF 5 10 15 The present disclosure relates generally to the field of electrocatalytic materials and electrochemical energy conversion systems. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a nanostructured nickel-cobalt oxide electrocatalyst comprising nickel and cobalt in a specific molar ratio with a polymeric stabilizing agent, an electrode incorporating such electrocatalysts, and an electrolyzer systems utilizing the same for efficient hydrogen production. The electrocatalyst, electrodes, and associated electrolyzer systems provide enhanced durability, efficient gas evolution, and improved energy efficiency. The disclosed technology is applicable in anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolyzers, alkaline water electrolysis systems, and other electrochemical energy conversion and hydrogen production applications.
