The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a nanomineral-based hair photoprotective gel comprising 4.0–6.0 wt % of a UV-active nanomineral, 5.0–10.0 wt % of a natural fruit extract, 19.4–36.0 wt % of one or more excipients including a film-forming agent, a gelling agent, a suspending agent, a humectant, a co-solvent, a dispersing agent, a preservative, a pH buffer, a pH-adjuster and a chelating agent, and the remainder being a vehicle. The UV-active nanomineral is uniformly dispersed within a polymeric gel matrix, while the natural fruit extract provides antioxidant activity that acts synergistically with the nanomineral to protect hair against ultraviolet radiation and photo-oxidative damage. The invention further provides a process for preparing the gel involving preparation of an aqueous gel base, a nanomineral slurry, and a fruit extract, followed by controlled mixing to obtain a homogeneous formulation. The composition forms a transparent film on the hair surface, exhibits excellent stability, minimizes white cast, and is suitable for daily leave-on application.
