Abstract: The present invention discloses a nanoformulated biostimulant composition for improving seed germination and plant growth, comprising chitosan-stabilised zinc oxide nanoparticles of average size 15 to 40 nanometres, seaweed extract derived from Ascophyllum nodosum or Kappaphycus alvarezii, and humic acid, dispersed in an aqueous carrier. The composition delivers synergistic biostimulant action wherein the nano-zinc oxide core supplies bioavailable zinc, the chitosan shell elicits plant defence pathways, the seaweed extract provides natural phytohormones, and the humic acid improves rhizosphere nutrient chelation. The composition is applied through seed priming, foliar spray or soil drenching, and produces 25 to 45 percent improvement in germination percentage and 30 to 60 percent improvement in seedling biomass relative to controls, with significant tolerance to abiotic stresses such as salinity and drought, while remaining eco-friendly, biodegradable, and economically viable for smallholder farmers.
