Abstract: The present invention relates to a nanoemulsion formulation designed to enhance the bioavailability of fisetin and hesperidin, which are active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The formulation comprises an oil phase, which includes medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) or soybean oil for dissolving the APIs, a surfactant such as Tween 80 to reduce interfacial tension, and a co-surfactant like propylene glycol to enhance stability. The aqueous phase serves as the continuous phase for dispersing the oil droplets, with the nanoemulsion characterized by droplet sizes ranging from 20 to 200 nm. The formulation is developed using a Quality by Design (QbD) approach, optimizing Critical Quality Attributes (CQAs) such as droplet size, zeta potential, drug release profile, and stability. The invention involves preparing a nanoemulsion using high-shear homogenization or ultrasonication, with process parameters optimized using Design of Experiments (DoE) tools.
