Abstract: The present invention provides a pharmaceutical nanoemulgel composition comprising a synergistic combination of rosuvastatin and quercetin, formulated using an oil phase, a surfactant, a co-surfactant, and an aqueous phase, the nanoemulsion so formed being incorporated into a gel base, to achieve a nanoscale globule size, a low polydispersity index, and a high drug-loading efficiency for both active agents. The composition exhibits enhanced skin permeation, a biphasic and sustained in vitro drug release profile, and prolonged retention at the site of application, rendering it suitable for the topical management of chronic wounds. The invention also provides a process for the preparation of the said nanoemulgel composition.
