MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621086731 A) filed by Dr. Seema Rai; and Gunja Roy on July 15, 2026, for N-Acetyl-5-Methoxytryptamine-Coated Silver Nanoparticles Formulation And A Process For Preparing Thereof.

Inventors include Dr. Seema Rai; and Gunja Roy.

The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for preparing N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine-coated silver nanoparticles, said process comprising of preparing silver nanoparticles solution by using a reducing agent and a capping and stabilizing agent; preparing N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine solution by using N-acetyl-5- methoxytryptamine with ethanol; adding silver nanoparticles solution dropwise in the N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine solution to form N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine coated silver nanoparticles solution; stirring the N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine coated silver nanoparticles solution for 6 hours; sonicating the N-acetyl-5- methoxytryptamine coated silver nanoparticles solution for 6 hours in red light condition; centrifuging the N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine coated silver nanoparticles solution at 10000rpm for 25min to N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine-coated silver nanoparticles; washing the N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine-coated silver nanoparticles with distilled water; and air drying the N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine-coated silver nanoparticles in dark and storing in brown bottle in fridge.
