MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611083763 A) filed by Greengrahi Solutions Private Limited on July 08, 2026, for Mycorrhizal Biofertiliser Composition And Method Of Manufacturing Thereof.

Inventors include Siddharth Sharma; and Shivali Sugand.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: There is provided a mycorrhizal biofertiliser composition including a plurality of mycorrhizal propagules including arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, ectomycorrhizal fungi, or combinations thereof, and a bioactive carrier substrate derived from insect frass obtained through controlled bioconversion of nutritionally managed feed substrates using Hermetia illucens larvae. The insect frass undergoes microbial fermentation and aerobic maturation to obtain the bioactive carrier substrate. The bioactive carrier substrate comprises organic carbon, humic substances, amino acids, and chitin. The bioactive carrier substrate maintains viability of the plurality of mycorrhizal propagules during storage and following soil application. The mycorrhizal biofertiliser composition further supports fungal germination, root colonisation, nutrient interception, and rhizosphere interaction within agricultural soils. There is further provided a method of manufacturing the mycorrhizal biofertiliser composition through controlled bioconversion, microbial fermentation, aerobic maturation, post-conditioning, and temperature-controlled blending of the plurality of mycorrhizal propagules with the bioactive carrier substrate to preserve propagule viability and infective functionality.
