Abstract: 049] A multispectral optical system (100) for non-invasive anaemia screening comprises a wavelength-selective emitter assembly (110), an optical reference channel (115), a controlled tissue interface (120), a photodetector assembly (130), auxiliary contact and motion sensors (150), a calibration engine (160) and an artificial- intelligence inference unit (170). Sequential illumination with interleaved emitter-off measurements provides wavelength-associated tissue responses. The calibration engine compensates for dark baseline and source drift, derives spectral and optical-path features, and rejects measurements affected by inadequate contact or motion. The inference unit estimates a haemoglobin-related screening value with an uncertainty measure from accepted features. A confidence-gated output interface (180) displays the estimate only when quality and operating-domain criteria are satisfied and otherwise requests reacquisition. The system supports non-invasive screening subject to appropriate clinical validation. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
