MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631113377 A) filed by Brainware University on September 22, 2026, for Multiplexed Wearable Sweat-Sensing Biopatch.

Inventors include Sumon Giri; Arijit Ghosh; Sangita Paria; and Zainab Irfan.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The invention provides a wearable sweat-sensing system comprising a disposable patch (200) with three fluidically separated zones and reusable electronics. Zone A (210) carries amperometric glucose and lactate sensors; Zone B (220) carries potentiometric sodium, potassium, chloride and pH sensors; and Zone C (230) carries a square-wave-voltammetric cortisol aptamer sensor. Independent microfluidic routing reduces fluidic carry-over between electrochemically different sensor classes, while sensor-specific analog interfaces and scheduled acquisition enable their operation on a common platform. High-impedance potentiometric signals are buffered before precision conversion, and the processor performs calibration, temperature compensation where applicable, signal processing, quality-control assessment, logging and wireless transmission. The system is intended for laboratory and controlled on-body research and does not inherently provide blood-equivalent concentrations or clinical diagnosis.
