Abstract: ABSTRACT MULTIPLE-PASSBAND LINEAR ADAPTIVE PREDISTORTED MICROWAVE FILTER SYSTEM AND SYNTHESIS METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a linear adaptive predistorted multiple-passband microwave filter system and method thereof for compensating resonator dissipation losses in multi-band microwave communication applications. The disclosed system comprises a conductive resonator enclosure including a plurality of electromagnetically coupled resonators configured to generate dual-passband or multiple-passband microwave responses with enhanced selectivity and reduced insertion-loss ripple. A predistortion compensation methodology intentionally modifies resonator coupling coefficients, transfer function poles, and transmission-zero distributions to compensate for finite unloaded quality factor (Q) losses and restore substantially flat passband response and minimized group-delay variation. The filter assembly further includes adjustable tuning structures configured for tuning resonant frequencies, coupling characteristics, and stopband rejection performance. It enables implementation using cavity resonators, dielectric resonators, microstrip resonators, and substrate integrated waveguide structures. The invention provides compact size, improved stopband attenuation, enhanced impedance matching, and reduced implementation complexity suitable for satellite communication systems, radar systems, and IMUX/OMUX architectures.
