Inventor includes Dhawal Wazalwar.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: Abstract Multimodal Interaction-Aware Decision-Support System for Cardiopulmonary Risk Assessment A multimodal interaction-aware clinical decision-support system for cardiopulmonary risk assessment processes electrocardiogram, chest radiograph, laboratory, and vital sign inputs through four modality-specific analysis modules disclosed. An interaction-aware clinical rule engine evaluates twelve deterministic cross-modal interaction rules stored in an external configuration file repository physically separate from the trained model weight files, enabling clinician-auditable, configurable decision logic without model retraining. A five-pillar clinical decision layer organises outputs into acute coronary syndrome, sepsis, acute decompensated heart failure, rhythm instability, and abnormal findings pillars, each producing a three-tier LOW, MODERATE, or HIGH severity output with configurable boundaries. A five-stage safety gate pipeline comprising a signal quality gate, pacing detection gate, confidence threshold gate, missing critical input gate, and deferred-label suppression gate intercepts false-positive outputs at inference time. The system executes on local hardware within a single patient-encounter cycle without cloud dependency. Validated on 1,047 MIMIC-IV acute care encounters: sensitivity 76.1%, PPV 89.1%, AUC 0.756.
