MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611074132 A) filed by Sharda University on June 15, 2026, for Multimodal Detection And Analysis Of Student Attention In Learning Environments In Real-Time.
Inventor includes Vivek Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for real-time multimodal detection and analysis of student attention in learning environments. The method comprises preprocessing, by a preprocessing module (204), multimodal inputs received from one or more devices (104) to improve data quality; extracting, by a feature extraction module (206), attributes indicative of student attention; fusing, by a data fusion module (208), the attributes into a unified representation; scoring, by a scoring and prediction module (210), attention levels and predicting engagement trends; and outputting, by an alert and feedback module (212), analytics, alerts, or adaptive recommendations. The system further comprises a processor (110) and memory (112) executing modules (114) including a data acquisition module (202) for real-time input capture. The invention provides accurate, scalable, and adaptive attention monitoring through multimodal data fusion, predictive modeling, and real-time feedback to enhance teaching effectiveness. Fig. 2
