Abstract: The present invention relates to a multimodal cross-reality communication system for 5 facilitating real-time multilingual communication in physical and virtual environments. The system comprises a wearable communication device incorporating directional microphones, an imaging module, and an adaptive sensor fusion engine configured to accurately identify an intended speaker by correlating audio and visual inputs. An adaptive noise processing module suppresses environmental noise, while an on-device speech recognition module 10 converts speech into text, followed by a language-translation module configured to perform real-time multilingual translation without continuous internet connectivity. A contextual artificial intelligence processing module analyses conversational context to generate summaries and identify key information. An adaptive output management module selectively presents translated content as augmented reality subtitles, audio narration, or a combination 15 thereof based on environmental conditions and user preferences. The invention further supports accessibility for hearing- and visually-impaired users, and enables secure communication across augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality environments.
