Abstract: ABSTRACT MULTILINGUAL VERNACULAR TOURIST INFORMATION BOT SYSTEM INTEGRATING SPEECH AND TEXT PROCESSING The present invention discloses a multilingual vernacular tourist information bot system (100) that integrates automatic speech recognition, neural machine translation, natural language understanding, and text-to-speech synthesis to provide real-time tourist assistance in multiple Indian languages. The system (100) comprises a user interface module (110) for text and voice input, a multilingual processing module (120) operatively coupled to a government-backed multilingual API platform (170) for speech- to-text conversion, language detection, and machine translation, a natural language understanding module (140) employing transformer-based models for intent classification and entity extraction, an application logic module (130) with a dialogue manager (131) and context tracker (132), a tourism knowledge base (160) with hybrid structured and unstructured data repositories, and a response synthesis module (150) for translating and synthesizing responses in the vernacular language of the user.
