Abstract: TITLE OF THE INVENTION GPS GEOFENCE-ENABLED SPEED LIMIT ZONE DETECTION AND SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a GPS geofence-enabled speed limit zone detection and speed control system for vehicles. The system continuously acquires the geographical location of a vehicle and transmits the location to a cloud-based processing platform. The cloud platform compares the received location with a database of predefined geofence boundaries associated with corresponding speed-limit information and determines whether the vehicle has entered a speed-regulated zone. Upon identification of the applicable zone, the corresponding speed-limit information is communicated to the vehicle or an associated controller. The vehicle displays the applicable speed limit and enables a compatible vehicle speed-control system to regulate vehicle speed in accordance with the identified speed limit, independent of the particular speed-control mechanism employed. The cloud-based architecture allows centralized storage, updating and management of geofence information, providing a scalable solution for intelligent vehicle speed regulation across multiple geographical locations. The invention is applicable to public roads, educational institutions, hospitals, residential areas, industrial campuses, logistics fleets, and intelligent transportation systems
