Inventors include Dr. Jitendra Pal Singh; Dr. Reema Priydarshi; Dr. Monu Bala; Dr. Pooja Agarwal; Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Sharma; and Dr. Kumar Vimal.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides a multifunctional nanomaterial composition comprising metal oxide nanoparticles, semiconductor quantum dots, carbon-based nanomaterials, and rare earth element doped nanostructures with controlled sizes, shapes, and surface properties for integrated biological, environmental, and optoelectronic applications. The composition is synthesized through combined co-precipitation and green synthesis methodologies employing plant extracts as environmentally benign reducing and capping agents. The formulation achieves photocatalytic degradation efficiency exceeding 90 percent for organic pollutants under visible light, antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, pH-responsive drug delivery with 78 percent loading efficiency, multicolour photoluminescence emission enabling white light generation, and photodetector responsivity of 2.8 amperes per watt. The invention eliminates the need for separate single-domain nanomaterial preparations, reduces manufacturing costs, and enables synergistic cross-domain performance from a single unified composition.
