MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641107504 A) filed by Pooja Agarwal on September 07, 2026, for Multifunctional Co-Fe Doped Zno/G-C3n4 Photocatalyst For Degradation Of Organic Contaminants.

Inventors include Pooja Agarwal; Pragya Saxena; and Divya Bajpai Tripathy.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a Co-Fe-doped ZnO/g-C3N4 nanocomposite and its preparation for the degradation of organic contaminants via visible-light- driven photocatalysis in wastewater treatment applications. The incorporation of Co and Fe into the ZnO/g-C3N4 heterostructure not only increases visible-light absorption but also promotes efficient charge separation, thereby enhancing photocatalytic efficiency. The prepared nanocomposite exhibits degradation efficiencies of up to 99%, 99% and 98% of Rhodamine B (RhB), Ciprofloxacin (CIP), and Benzophenone-1 (BP-1), respectively. The material exhibits high catalytic stability and recyclability over five successive cycles.
