Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-zone adaptive thermal management garment configured to provide enhanced cooling, thermal regulation and improved wearer comfort under elevated temperature conditions. The garment comprises a wearable garment body having an inner wearer-facing layer, a plurality of thermally optimized body zones, removable phase change material (PCM) modules, a thermal spreading layer, a directional thermal barrier layer, a three-dimensional spacer mesh layer and an outer protective shell layer. The garment is divided into multiple thermal management zones corresponding to different regions of the human torso, wherein PCM modules are selectively positioned according to localized thermal requirements of the wearer. The non-uniform distribution of PCM modules enables effective utilization of cooling capacity by concentrating thermal regulation at regions subjected to higher heat generation and perspiration. The PCM modules comprise sealed enclosures containing a suitable phase change material, preferably sodium sulfate decahydrate, capable of absorbing body-generated heat through latent heat storage during phase transition. The thermal spreading layer facilitates uniform distribution of heat towards the PCM modules, while the directional thermal barrier layer reduces heat transfer from the external environment towards the wearer and PCM modules. The three-dimensional spacer mesh layer provides interconnected air passages for improved ventilation, moisture transport and enhanced physiological comfort. The removable PCM module arrangement enables convenient recharging and repeated usage of the garment. The integrated thermal management architecture provides prolonged cooling performance, reduced external thermal influence, improved moisture management and enhanced comfort, making the invention suitable for industrial workers, outdoor personnel and other applications requiring wearable thermal protection in hot environments.
