MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611070142 A) filed by Noida International University on June 04, 2026, for Multi-Waste Eco-Brick Using Fly Ash, Plastics, C&d Waste And Carbide Residue.

Abstract: The invention relates to sustainable construction materials and multi-waste eco-brick technology. The invention combines fly ash, waste plastics, construction and demolition waste, and calcium carbide residue into a sustainable construction product. The technology addresses an existing standardisation gap for eco-friendly multi- waste bricks by providing mix-design and quality-control guidelines suitable for future Indian Standard adoption. The invention further supports lab-to-field translation by producing pilot bricks and constructing a demonstration boundary wall monitored for cracks, erosion, and thermal performance. The eco-brick reduces topsoil use, supports lower carbon dioxide emissions, enables utilisation of multiple waste streams, and can reduce brick cost. The invention is useful for MSME-level brick manufacturing, construction-material industries, sustainable infrastructure projects, boundary wall construction, waste-management agencies, and industry collaborators.
