MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611096064 A) filed by Chandigarh University on August 08, 2026, for Multi-Utility Survival Backpack With Flexible Snake-Fan And Sos Light.

Inventors include Kush Kumar; and Khushi Singh.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a universal modular cooling and power system integrated into wearable bags, including backpacks, handbags, and satchels. The system comprises an extractable 360-degree flexible Snake-Fan with a pose-retaining mechanism for hands-free, targeted cooling and a dual-venting architecture that directs airflow to both the user's upper body and the back-contact panel to minimize perspiration. The invention further incorporates ultra-thin flexible solar laminates embedded within the bag fabric to harvest solar energy for charging a rechargeable battery connected to a centralized power management hub. The hub supplies power to the cooling fan, an external mobile charging port, and a dual-mode LED emergency light capable of normal illumination and SOS signaling. A detachable modular electronic assembly enables easy maintenance, complete washability of the bag, and transfer of the entire system between different bag configurations, providing an integrated, lightweight, and energy-efficient wearable utility solution.
