Abstract: A multi-user Internet of Things schedule management system (100) for unified appliance control comprises a relay control interface (110) coupled to a controllable appliance, a communication module (115) receiving schedule requests from a plurality of user applications on different platforms, a non-volatile memory (120) storing separate schedule tables per user application, a schedule merging module (130) merging the separate schedule tables into a unified operating schedule by resolving overlapping time periods, a timer module (140) starting a timer for a shortest scheduled time of the unified operating schedule, a finite state machine (150) receiving timer expiry events and controlling state transitions via the relay control interface (110), and a notification module (160) transmitting state change notifications to all connected user applications. The system (100) detects schedule contention and avoids redundant switching actions. (Figure 1)
