MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641126220 A) filed by Datapane Labs Private Limited on October 22, 2026, for Multi-Tier Data Storage Apparatus With Snapshot-Based Reversible Physical Reorganization.
Inventor includes Asutosh Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A trust-governed storage engine comprises storage tiers, a telemetry interface, planner agents, a constraint resolver, a budget governor, a snapshot unit, a canary controller, and an assertion store. The interface forms workload windows from queries, agent execution traces, ontology relationships, value-dictionary bindings, governance assertions, and insight trust events. The agents issue physical, semantic, temporal, governance, and representational layout proposals. The resolver first removes proposals violating higher-ranked placement, encoding, residency, or representation constraints and then selects a feasible candidate within rewrite budgets. Before reorganization, a manifest snapshot is retained. The candidate is applied to a canary subset, verified using queries, result checksums, storage input/output metrics, and constraint checks, and either promoted by an atomic metadata-pointer swap or rolled back. Each outcome is recorded as an attributable layout assertion. A write-time rank comparator prevents a machine proposal from overriding a human-pinned layout, thereby providing explainable, reversible, and governance-enforced secure physical data organization.
