Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a multi-stage water purification system (100) configured to convert untreated water into potable- quality water through sequential physical, chemical, and biological purification processes. The system (100) comprises a housing (102) accommodating a collecting chamber (104) connected to an inlet (106) for receiving untreated water via a pump (107). The water passes successively through a pre-filtration unit (108) for removing suspended solids, an activated carbon filtration unit (112) for adsorbing organic pollutants and chlorine, a silver-based antimicrobial unit (116) for neutralizing microorganisms through silver nanoparticles, and an ultraviolet sterilization unit (120) emitting radiation at 254 nanometres for microbial inactivation. The integrated configuration produces purified, safe, and odour-free water, suitable for domestic, industrial, and field-deployable applications without the use of harmful chemical disinfectants.
