MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621003936 A) filed by Jvs Engineers Unit Of Jvs Flow Control Pvt. Ltd. on January 14, 2026, for Multi-Stage Orifice Cartridge For Reducing Pressure Of Fluid In A Choke Valve And System Thereof.
Inventor includes Shah, Narendrakumar Saubhagyachand.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A multi-stage orifice cartridge (100) for reducing pressure of fluid in a choke valve (100’), may comprises: a valve body assembly (110’) comprising a cartridge inlet (37) and a cartridge outlet (38); a bonnet assembly (120’); a stem assembly (130’) extending through the bonnet assembly (120’); and a trim assembly (140’) disposed within the valve body assembly (110’) to cooperate with a plug (11) to control flow of the fluid. The trim assembly (140’) comprises discs (150’) mutually joined to define internal flow passages (83-97) and rods (160’) extending through aligned holes (105-110) in the discs (150’) to prevent relative rotation. The flow passages (83- 97) define a tortuous, multi-stage flow path including multiple changes of direction and a plurality of contraction and expansion stages between the cartridge inlet (37) and the cartridge outlet (38), wherein high-pressure fluid is progressively decompressed with reduced velocity prior to discharge towards the outlet (38).
