MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511013502 A) filed by Jugapro India Pvt Ltd on February 17, 2025, for Multi-Spectral Multi-Static Passive Radar System For Detection And Tracking Of Aerial Objects.

Inventors include Navneet Kakkar; Pawan Kakkar; and Veer Kakkar.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a multi spectral, multi static passive radar system for detecting, validating, and tracking aerial objects using externally generated electromagnetic transmissions without emitting active radar pulses. A plurality of spatially separated passive sensor nodes receive ambient transmissions and corresponding reflections and extract time stamped Doppler and micro Doppler feature vectors. A temporal alignment subsystem compensates clock offset and communication delay to align features across nodes. Clutter conditioning is applied prior to validation to suppress stationary and multipath persistent components. A fusion engine computes a geometry aware spatial coherence metric that evaluates the cross node consistency of motion induced spectral features and validates detections exceeding a fixed or adaptive threshold. Validated detections are used to generate trajectory estimates, predictive positions, and optional classification outputs. A tamper evident logging subsystem records validated events as hash linked entries for auditability. The system enables robust passive detection and tracking in dense, multipath rich environments using feature level fusion rather than raw signal correlation.
