MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611078107 A) filed by Delhi Technological University on June 24, 2026, for Multi-Signal Geo-Confidence And Temporal Biometric Attendance Authentication System.
Inventors include Kumar, Ayush; Shambhavi; Panwar, Ishan; and Kumar, Rajeev.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method (1000) and system (100) for attendance authentication. A client device (102) computes a geo-confidence score during an authentication session established between the client device (102) and an attendance authentication server (104). The client device (102) computes a plurality of per- frame biometric scores corresponding to a sequence of facial frames captured over an authentication time window associated with the authentication session. The client device (102) validates an identity-consistency condition and a score-stability condition, and computes a temporal biometric confidence score as a mean of the plurality of per-frame biometric scores. The server (104) evaluates threshold conditions corresponding to the geo-confidence score and the temporal biometric confidence score within the authentication time window. The server (104) generates a digitally signed validation token and records an attendance event upon determining that the threshold conditions are satisfied within the authentication time window.
