Abstract: An athletic performance assessment system (100) includes a control unit (102) including a processor (202) and a memory (204). The control unit (102) receives physiological data and positional data from a chest-mounted unit (106) through a network (104), and biomechanical data and plantar force data from a footwear- mounted unit (108) through the network (104). The control unit (102) aligns the received data using timestamp-based alignment to determine a time-aligned multi- modal dataset. Physiological features and biomechanical features are determined from the time-aligned multi-modal dataset. A relationship between the physiological features and the biomechanical features is determined, and a fatigue assessment result for the athlete is generated based on the determined relationship during activity. The fatigue assessment result is transmitted to a user device (112) through the control unit (102).
