MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641109368 A) filed by Killakathu Ramanathan; and Nithya on September 11, 2026, for Multi-Motor Control Device For Ensuring Consistent Cabin Landing In A Pneumatic Elevator And Method Thereof.

Inventor includes Killakathu Ramanathan Babu.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: A multi-motor control device (100) for ensuring consistent cabin landing in a pneumatic elevator and method (200) thereof is disclosed. The device (100) comprises a motion sensing subsystem (105) comprising one or more encoders (105a) and a plurality of sensors (105b) that measure vertical displacement of a cabin within an elevator shaft to generate real-time cabin movement data. A plurality of motors (110) is connected to a common pneumatic drive system (115) enabling synchronized variable control across all motors. Each driver module is operatively coupled to a respective motor. A central controller (125), coupled to the motion sensing subsystem (105) and driver modules, computes a required deceleration profile based on the real-time cabin movement data, modulates motor power in fine increments across all motors simultaneously in real time using a control logic, and disburses motor power proportionally across all motors, providing synchronized power commands via the driver modules.
