MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621099124 A) filed by Capt. Susarla Srinivas on August 17, 2026, for Multi-Modal Music Perception And Performance System For Deaf And Hard-Of-Hearing Users.
Inventor includes Capt. Susarla Srinivas.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: MULTI-MODAL MUSIC PERCEPTION AND PERFORMANCE SYSTEM FOR DEAF AND HARD-OF-HEARING USERS Abstract of the Invention The present invention relates to a multi-modal music perception and performance system for enabling perception and interaction with musical information through coordinated sensory outputs. The system comprises an input layer for generating musical note events, a mapping subsystem for associating the note events with musical and visual characteristics, a synthesis engine for generating musical signals, a haptic feedback subsystem for generating tactile feedback, a device connection architecture for selectively interfacing output devices, and a visualisation subsystem for generating visual representations. The respective subsystems process common musical note events to provide synchronized audio, tactile, colour-based visual, and sign-language outputs. The system may further provide selective stereo-channel routing, modular output-device assignment, storage and retrieval of musical sequences, and performance evaluation by comparing user-generated note events with stored reference se- quences, thereby facilitating perception, practice, composition, and evaluation of music by deaf and hard-of-hearing users.
