Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-layer edge intelligence system for continuous industrial equipment health assessment. The system comprises a sensing acquisition framework, a first edge assessment layer, a second edge reasoning layer, a collaborative intelligence layer, an equipment wellness evaluation engine, a contextual interpretation framework, an adaptive health modeling subsystem, a health knowledge repository, a health forecasting module, and a decision-support interface. Operational information associated with industrial equipment is continuously acquired from distributed sensing devices and processed through multiple layers of edge intelligence nodes positioned proximate to monitored assets. The first edge assessment layer performs information validation, preprocessing, feature extraction, and preliminary health evaluation, while the second edge reasoning layer conducts contextual interpretation and advanced analytical assessment. The collaborative intelligence layer enables coordinated evaluation across multiple equipment assets. The system generates equipment wellness profiles, health indices, operational integrity indicators, and future health forecasts through adaptive analytical models. The invention provides decentralized health assessment, reduced communication dependency, improved analytical responsiveness, enhanced condition awareness, and continuous monitoring of industrial equipment across distributed industrial environments.
